Thin Plastic Furniture

Recently a very clever client of ours figured out an easy way to determine if her large couch, baby grand piano, and other much loved and oversized pieces of furniture would fit in a home before she finalized the purchase — she brought the furniture over in a paper bag. How did she do this? She bought cheap plastic dropcloths and cut them out in the approximate size and shape of the items. Then she folded them up and carried one piano, two couches, a wine cooler, a bar, a dining room table, a coffee table, and an entertainment center all in a single paper shopping bag. How clever is that? I thought this was a wonderful idea for anyone who is shopping for a new home and has a particular piece of furniture that has always been hard to place.
