This area is dominated by the Peninsula Center shopping center, thus the name. It is located near the very center of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The neighborhood is close to Hawthorne Blvd; this makes it good for commuters to get to the rest of the South Bay and the Los Angeles basin. Homes in the Peninsula Center may be in Rancho Palos Verdes or in Rolling Hills Estates. There are some townhomes and condos near the shopping center as well, although most of the housing stock is Single Family homes, usually built in the 1970′s.
Schools are the fantastic Palos Verdes Unified School District.
