Known as the home of the Panthers, this K-5 school is located near Manhattan Beach Boulevard at 1200 Pacific Avenue, close to John Street and 17th. Pacific has been recognized for its excellent work in education and leadership and maintains an API score of 968 which has been growing steadily over time. The school has also been recognized as a California Service Learning Leader School and was a California Distinguished School in 2010.
Pacific maintains a student teacher ratio of 23:1 and an average of 700 students are enrolled per year. It has also maintained better CST test scores that any other Manhattan Beach Unified School District school and scores are higher than the California average.
There are an average of 30 volunteers at Pacific and you will find them there every day. They help with school activities, computer labs, science labs and at the playground or during field trips. They also help the students during community events and some sponsored programs like Young At Art, Growing Great, Paw Prints and Grades of Green.
Pacific Elementary School serves the Rosecrans Section, The Tree Section and some of the Downtown Core and Sand Section.
